km south of Vodice on the Jadranska Magistrala highway towards
Sibenik small place Jadrija is situated. It is a newly built
place consisting mostly of private holiday houses. It is
a favorite seaside resort and weekend place for many inhabitants
of Sibenik.
It's beach has been recently, after years of neglecting,
finally cultivated. There you will find several beach volleyball
courses and diving centers organizing diving courses and
underwater photo-safari. Jadrija has become a favorite place
in Sibenik region for sports enthusiasts.
 Due
to the favorable winds most of the time, Jadrija is well
known windsurfers gathering place. It also hosts regattas
of Croatian windsurfing championship. Jadrija's coast is
well protected with several small islands which makes it
a good place for beginners as well. In the summer tramontana
and maestral winds predominate and in the fall and spring
stronger northern bura and southern jugo.
