Makarska Riviera beaches

The 60 km long Makarska Riviera is dotted with numerous
pebble beaches, known for the smooth white pebbles and sandy
areas, backed by pine and olive woods on the land between
the spectacular Mount Biokovo mountain range the sea. Some
of the beaches extend for kilometers, like the one from
Brela to Baska Voda.
The town of Makarska, with vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere,
is the heart of the Makarska Riviera, a long coastal strip
which will surprise you by its beauty and preserved nature.
Long sand or pebble beaches, pine forests, ever
clear waters are only a tiny bit of its attractions.
The Makarska Riviera includes the resorts of Makarska, Brela,
Tucepi, Zivogosce and Baska Voda. Most of the places have
seaside promenade planted with palm trees and there are
cafes, restaurants and shops. Lots of sunshine and a crystal
clear, warm sea with a gently sloping shore make it an ideal
destination for family holidays.
