Soline beach
 Vrboska,
a small town and harbour on the -northern coast of the island
of Hvar, lies in a picturesque, deep cove surrounded by
vineyards, olive groves and a forest of pine. Typical Mediterranean
local architecture of small houses on both sides of the
canal connected to old town houses from the periods of renaissance,
gothic and baroque, as well as old churches on one side
of the canal and rich villas on the other side gives the
place special charm and warmth. Various accommodation facilities
- hotels, apartments, campsites, fine restaurants and bars,
as well as sports and recreation opportunities attract many
visitors to Vrboska. Cultural events and entertainment are
organized during the tourist season. Vrboska ACI Marina
has 100 berths in the sea and 20 places on the land.
Most
of that beaches are located on peninsula Glavica,
1-1.5 km from town Vrboska, 5 minutes far away with car.
You can leave your car on beach "Soline" parking
place (with lot of pine trees shade).
Beach Soline is main beach and lot of people from another
places on Hvar (Jelsa, Stari Grad) are coming there. Beach
is mostly pebbles, with rocky parts (nice rocks) with lot
of pine tree shade. That is a reason because
lot of families with small children are there. Beach Soline
is on the southern part of peninsula Glavica.
There is nice beach restaurant where you can rest in the
middle of day and drink or eat something, you can find also
a diving centre and beach volley.
Rest of peninsula is for those who a bit of peace and quiet.
5-10 minutes walk from parking place and restaurant on another
side of peninsula (northern side) you can find pretty rocks

Those
seeking romantic spots can find a perfect place in one of
the coves north of Vrboska: Maslinica pebble bay
with sandy sea bottom (15 minutes walking from the centre
of Vrboska), Palinica, Lucina vala and others.
