Primosten
Raduca
Primosten,
situated south of Sibenik, is a real miniature jewel, former
fishing village and now heaven for holiday-makers. It ranks
among the most picturesque small towns on the Adriatic,
with a number of typical Mediterranean narrow streets in
the old town core. The old center of Primosten is alive
with cafes, celler bars and restaurants, whose cuisine will
satisfy the most exacting winners and diners. The most famous
local speciality is spiny lobster a la Primosten.
It is set upon a little, hilly island, that five centuries
ago the inhabitants linked to the land by a causeway, so
that they could go off to the fields more easily. On two
sides of the island/peninsula there are two beautiful rocky
beaches.
On
the other small peninsula, north of the centre, are the
hotels Slava, Zora and Raduca with
magnificant pebbly beach with a dense pine forest. The beach
stretches the length of the peninsula, followed by a path
that goes through thick pinewoods. Nature has given southern
side of the peninsula a rocky, and northern side pebbly
beach. Raduca beach has been awarded with the Blue Flag
award which guarantees clean and safe environment and many
facilities.
South of the town's center is abonded Hotel Marina Lucica,
with a popular nudist beach near by, and, farther to the
south, Kremik Marina. Primosten is surrounded by
seven little islands. On of them, Smokvica - just
in front of the Raduca peninsula, has a nudist beach.
Primosten has the largest discotheque in Dalmatia - Aurora.
